Chief Collaboration Officer
 

Rob Briggs serves as the chief collaboration officer at Murer Consultants, Inc., a position for which he has been in training his entire life.  He also serves as General Counsel of the Corporation.

Rob, a lawyer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, is former chair of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and also served as president of one of Ohio’s leading law firms, Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs. He still maintains an affiliation with the firm and has strong roots in Ohio, Illinois, Florida and Michigan.

Briggs is the co-founder of The Fund For Our Economic Future, an unprecedented collaborative effort to help Northeast Ohio’s economy. He is former president of the GAR Foundation and still sits on the foundation’s distribution committee. He also holds or has held seats or leadership positions on dozens of boards of directors of corporations, a publicly traded company and non-profits.

He has ownership interest in several small businesses, has spearheaded efforts to grow promising companies and technologies and has helped facilitate corporate mergers and acquisitions.

He earned his bachelor’s degree at Duke University and his law degree at the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.

He served as a JAG officer in the United States Air Force.

Briggs is married to Alyssa Lenhoff-Briggs and they are the parents of five adult children.​
