Michael French, J.D., is a Consultant at Murer Consultants, Inc. Mr. French received his Juris Doctor degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While at Loyola, he also received a Health Law Certificate from the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy. Prior to attending law school, Mr. French earned a B.A in both Political Science and English from the University of Notre Dame.

Since joining Murer, Mr. French has focused his practice on the 340B Drug Pricing Program. As a part of his practice, Mr. French ensures regulatory compliance in this complex and evolving subject matter. He also assists eligible hospitals to maximize benefits and analyze strategic opportunities under the 340B Program, while also helping these eligible facilities through the 340B certification, recertification, and auditing process. Mr. French is a member of one of Murer’s several on-site 340B audit teams and looks forward to the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience with more 340B covered entities.

In addition, Mr. French addresses complex hospital reimbursement issues and strategies, which has included providing guidance to hospitals and health systems that are converting affiliated clinics to provider-based sites. Mr. French assists organizations to identify available options for legal and business structures to maintain flexibility within the changing healthcare landscape. Within this reimbursement structure, Mr. French is mindful of the evolving CMS Quality Programs that incentivize the delivery of high quality and cost efficient care.

Prior to joining Murer, Mr. French worked at the American Medical Association and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, dealing with various healthcare-related regulatory and compliance matters.
