Lyndean Brick to lead Murer Consultants, Inc.; Brick is a Pioneer in Health Care Consulting
Lyndean Brick, a nationally recognized expert in healthcare consulting and regulatory compliance, has assumed management of the firm she helped build into one of the country’s leading healthcare consulting organizations. Brick is now president, CEO and sole owner of Murer Consulting, Inc.
Brick is a lawyer with three decades of experience in healthcare law, management and regulatory consulting. Her former partners, Michael and Cherilyn Murer, retired in early January.
“I look forward to continuing the fine work that has distinguished Murer Consultants as one of the nation’s leading health care and management consulting firms,” Brick said. “We bring a strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations and an abiding sensitivity to our clients’ individual needs. The approach leads to innovative problem-solving that enables our clients to achieve operational efficiencies and a higher standard of excellence.”
Brick said her team at Murer Consultants includes some of the nation’s leading experts in the field of healthcare consulting. (Meet the Murer vice presidents here.)
Brick has led the firm’s recent pioneering work in numerous areas of product development, including programs that enable healthcare providers to thrive amid growing regulatory demands, shrinking margins and an uncertain marketplace. Brick led Murer Consultants’ work with 340-B programs, allowing qualifying healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
Additionally, she has championed novel approaches to merger and acquisitions, including partnerships with FQHCs and development of cutting-edge hospital and physician integration models. Licensure, Accreditation and Medicare Certification remain core business strengths. Brick works successfully to bring clarity to murky regulatory waters.
Ernie W. Sadau, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Health, has worked with Brick and Murer and said he is excited to see the transition of ownership for Murer Consultants. “CHRISTUS Health has enjoyed a very successful relationship with Murer over the years and specifically with Lyndean as advisor, consultant, counsel, and partner on so many strategies and creative concepts that have richly strengthened our success and fulfillment of our Mission,” Sadau said. “I now have even more confidence in the success of Murer with Lyndean and her leadership as owner and president. I am confident that Murer will be even more successful now with Lyndean’s leadership because as Peter Drucker always said: ‘The best way to predict the future as a business is to create it.’ With Lyndean’s excellent leadership and creativity there is no doubt she will create the future for Murer and all of its clients as one of even more success, especially in this time of change in the health care model.”
Michael S. Eesley, chief executive officer of Centegra Health System, also offered positive comments about Brick and Murer. “During the past decade, Centegra Health System has called upon Lyndean Brick and Murer to assist us with a variety of complicated projects,” Eesley said. “We have consistently found their approach to be creative and strategic, and their product impeccable.”
Murer Consultants focuses on strategic positioning, regulatory compliance, licensure and certificate of need, consolidation/acquisition, financial management, hospital feasibility, development, management and physician relations, including clinical co-management. Murer works with facilities to achieve operational efficiencies and excellence amid any and all circumstances.
